I was a GM guy growing up, but hate them more than Ford or Chrysler/Stalantis. I don't think I ever owned a Ford but their F150s are always tempting. I think they made some pretty big mistakes with the EV push. As part of that, they were trying to force their dealers and pony up a significant sum to be able to sell EVs that aren't really sellable. The F150 taillight example in the article was one I easily found. Every MFG has the same thing, $1500 headlights, expensive repair subscriptions, complicated array of modules, all of which need programming by their proprietary tools.
In the end, I think Ford comes back, but they have to stop losing 45k per EV first.
